endorses Lane Lewis for City Council At-Large Pos. 1
May 28, 2015
Houston, TX – Beloved community leader and former Council Member for Houston’s District D located in the city’s south side endorses Lane Lewis.
For decades Ada Edwards has been a revered community leader in Houston’s south side neighborhoods. She is known for standing up for those too often ignored while upholding her values. Ms. Edwards does not endorse any candidate without great care and thought as to who she is supporting. That is why the Lane Lewis Campaign is honored that the venerable Ada Edwards has chosen to endorse Lane for City Council At-Large Position 1.
“I am pleased to endorse Lane Lewis for City Council At-Large Position 1," said Edwards. “We share a very similar background in community organizing, education, advocating for those in need, and a passion for helping youth. Lane is honest and passionate about his work and will be a tireless servant to all of Houston’s communities.”
Lane Lewis has served the community of Houston for over 20 years as a social worker, educator, office holder, and community leader. As City Council Member At-Large Position 1, Lane will work to fix our roads, make all neighborhoods safe, and continue Houston’s prosperity in all communities.
