Houston Federation of Teachers Support Fellow Educator Lewis

The first day of school is a day of new beginnings and fresh starts for children, young adults, and teachers all over Houston. As teachers across the city start back to school, former teacher Lane Lewis is excited to announce the endorsement of the Houston Federation of Teachers (HFT) and HCCS Trustee and HFT President, Zeph Capo.

Lane will use his influence on council to support our schools, teachers, and after school programs to give Houston's children the best educational support possible. The endorsement of fellow educators is a special one for Lane, whose heart will always be in the classroom.

"As a teacher, I learned to respect the tremendous responsibility of shaping young people's futures," said Lewis, a certified teacher and certified principal. "Earning the endorsement and respect of my fellow teachers is immensely personal for me."
